The TIME at which you measure your weight is a very important thing as our weight may vary till 2 kilos throughout the day although this does not mean that you have gained “2 kilos”.
But most of us tend to forget the significance of this “timing” which leads to misunderstanding of our weight status which further makes us change our daily-calorie goals .This will ultimately result in us hitting weight loss plateau early as we would change our calorie goals to reduce weight faster. And this is why the “timing of weight measurement” is integral.

What is that “TIME”?
The time at which we must measure our weight is MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!(before breakfast) It is highly suggested to measure your weight in this particular time period because when we wake up and stand on our weight measurement machines (after going to toilet), we no longer have food in our tummies as we haven’t taken our breakfast yet and have excreted that yesterday’s food. And when we don’t have that chunks of food in our body, our machines show our True weight.
BUT WAIT!! There are still some mistakes people often do due to some myths in their minds that will, according to myths, make them lose weight instantaneously. Even if they measure their weight in the morning, they don’t get their TRUE WEIGHT due to following some practices before measuring their weight which are-
- When you measure your weight after a shower.
- Measuring your weight after that morning jog or workout.
- After drinking 1-2 bottles of water.
So these are some practices you must avoid before standing on your weight machine in order to acknowledge yourself with your true weight. Also I would highly recommend you to track your weight daily if you are on your weight loss journey.( Pro tip- Don’t expect yourself to lose 1-2 kilos daily. This will cause demotivation and you will shut down your weight loss journey.)
